Thanks to all the volunteers who came out on Saturday. Saw many of the usual suspects, plus some new faces, and lots of younger riders, which was awesome to see. Big shout out to Russ B. and Mark from Fanatik Bikes for providing food and bevies to keep the crew fed and hydrated. I didn't make it over to check out Scorpion, but we got all the projects on Evolution completed and the trail is as buff as it's ever been. Get some this week before the rains return!

Record day yesterday!! 71....
.....yeah, I said SEVENTY ONE folks came out to buff Evolution and Scorpion
top to bottom. Serious kudos to Fanatik Bike, Russ B. and Kathy/Mark for
such killer support and help bringing out the masses. Of course, Hawk and
Durand did a ton of prep work during the week and, let's face it, that's why
these days go so well.
Evo had a lot of jumps and trannies slightly altered (mostly made longer) so
give it a chill run down it the first lap and scope stuff out. The berms
all got built up and drainage work was down the entire trail (not that it
needed much). Also, the dirt is really soft, so go easy on the cutties,
racer-boys. ;)
Scorp is closed for the day because some of the milled woodwork had some
paint with sand applied to give it some grip (yes, it will get a second coat
soon), so it'll be shut down and migh open up later this afternoon after an
assessment by Matt D. Besides that, it got a ton of drainage work, berms
dialed, the "chute" is super buffed and dialed. Also, a couple of flatter
corners down low got bermage. The idea being to speed up the lower zone a
bit.
Many thanks to the folks that took a sunny Saturday off the bike to give
back. We had a TON of younger riders and at least a handful of ladies
busting their butts which is very cool. The work we did today should carry
us most of the way through the winter.
Cheers,
EB
P.S. Pics to follow....I'm heading out to ride my big bike now. :)
