Mike and crew from Fairhaven Bike & Mountain Sports Supplied the food and coffee for the the last set of reroutes planned for the Three Pigs. Today's plan was to remove a fall line section of trail for a more XC flowing section. Mp had the line tapped and ready for th e 25 people and 3 dogs prior to us all showing up to work. We had planned to work until 1:30 but we all wanted to see the work completed prior to leavinf so we ended up staying until 3:30 pm
Thanks goes out to the Fairhaven Crew for the help.

Hey all,
Just want to give a HUGE thanks to everyone that came out to throw dirt on Sunday. We ended up with 54 people (plus a couple late stragglers) that included about 10 groms and 1/2 dozen gals, plus at least 10 dogs. Big props to Chris and Allen who not only took care of breakfast and pizza for lunch, but they brought a fair bit of killer swag and their crew of builders with them.
We split into groups of 10 and took on some really big projects. There was a lot of tweaking and revegging that went on yesterday. The goal was to make everything "caseable" and at least a handful of jumps were re-shaped. We made it about 2/3 of the way down the hill and I'm guessing we've got another couple of weeks before the trail is considered ready for the public, so please be patient with us as we make necessary changes. Folks will be working on it most days until it's ready to go.
Cheers,
EB

Hi all,Sorry for the late notice, but as of today, Evolution will be closed for 3-4days while we put a re-route in place at the exit. The goal is to weave thetrail down the hill after the step up (which is getting overhauled as well),add a few more features and then point riders up the road upon exit vs.coming into the road perpendicular - which is both a safety hazard and ismaking a real mess of the road. Please take Scorpion, Wonderland or the Woodle down from the towers. Thanksfor your patience and please pass this along to your riding buddies.Cheers,EB

NEW TRAIL!! Connector from Oly to Papa Bear

Thanks to Trailhead Athletics for helping to rally a big crew for the new connector from the Oly to the Three Bears. The rain held out for the day and we were able to punch the trail through to the road-near the junction of Road 2000 & 2700 (Supercross Road).
We had close to 40 folks show up throughout the day. With such a great turnout we were able to get the trail done today and even sooner than we expected!! Now it's time for riders and tires to help set the final lines.
Lafeen's Doughnuts and Starbucks Coffee got us going in the morning and the Bagelry Bagels and awesome spreads kept us going in the afternoon.
Now at the North end of the Oly you can cross the road and ride singletrack, pop out on the road and a quick right and there you are for another quick right onto Papa Bear or left and to Goldilocks.
Another great day on the hill for the WMBC.
Nice Work!

Hey fellas,
Yesterday, we had crew of 6 or 7 of us shaping down the old section of trail (skidder road)…..we got right before we turn off the old trail into the last new section. Andrew was working ahead and cleared almost the entire way to the road and worked in a couple of really cool old growth stumps to weave around. The last section is going to be really fun and pumpy. It might have a feature or two depending on what Andrew can find in the way of dirt….which is what he’s focusing on today. Talked to Mark S. y’day and Kyle will be available to pick up the machine on Friday if we finish with it by then. I’ll give him a head’s up today or tomorrow depending on Andrew’s thoughts.
As we were wrapping up for the day , MP and Jon came down the trail to take a look. We discussed some of the sections that will need tweaking and walked down the exit section. Sounds like Jon’s gonna sell the stinky and is eyeing up a new Evil (sweet!).

Anyway, we’ve got Lars Sternberg, Colin and Andrew up there right now. Odin and I will be up later and I expect some other folks will be joining as well – we’re seeing 3-5 regulars that pop over a couple days a week like Loren, Chad, Chris, Vaughn, Ian and Kyle. A really solid crew of guys.

Hey guys,
So, Andrew and Colin took the weekend off from the trail. After 12 days straight of digging……they were starting to show signs of being human! ;-) Actually, Andrew wired his entire upstairs of his house, so he didn’t even get a weekend off from working. Ouch!! Hawk, Slater, myself and the pups got out on Saturday to start pin flagging obvious areas that need some love. They’ve got notes on them like “Reveg zone”, “drain here”, “outslope here” and “close down old trail”. We didn’t address any of the items around shaping as that’s gotta happen working down the hill – feature to feature. Lorin Bachman was out on Sunday doing some revegging near the bottom.
Progress pic:
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2688/4401297205_d1ac2d0ee5_o.jpg
Yesterday afternoon, I got out with Matt S., Thad, Brandon Watts and a new guy named Chad Ray (he’s been out 3 days now). Andrew is now clearing the last section out to the road. He’s a day or two ahead of the shapers, so once he’s done, he’s going to work backwards back up to the old trail and fix two corners and gather dirt for pumpers.
We did some shaping on a few features and Matt and Chad plate compacted down to where we stopped. The goal is to have the machine on the road by the end of the week and have Mark S. pick it up on Friday. Fingers crossed. Then, we’ll need to identify all of the features and drain issues that we want to adjust and work down the hill and fix those as we go. After the plate compactor has gone down the trail again, we’ll still probably need to do some tweaking to make sure everything is 100% good to go.
I’ll be out for a bit this afternoon.
Cheers,
EB
