Hey all,

Not sure if you're aware, but the PUMP (Portland United Mountain Pedalers)
changed their name a while ago to the NorthWest Trail Alliance. That was a
small part of an overhaul of the org to bring about a more professional and
organized advocacy group to the Portland/SW Washington area. I'm on a
regional IMBA board with Joe Rykowski who is one of their trail stewards, so
I've been getting some updates via that group.

The NWTA folks have been busy pursuing grants and also recently did a
fundraiser at Blackrock (a paid shuttle day) to help purchase a Singletrack
240 machine <http://singletracktools.com/> and enclosed trailer. They're
getting close after receiving a big Parks and Rec Grant from the state of
Oregon. If you've not seen one of these machines in action, they're pretty
damn amazing.
